|Volunteer Chaplaincy Program
The Volunteer Chaplaincy Program is an integral part of pastoral care at Nason Hospital. Qualified clergy are invited to volunteer several hours a month to serve as chaplain in the hospital setting.
Our chaplain will offer support for you and your family during your illness. They offer encouragement and a listening ear during difficult times.
They provide help and comfort in times of grief and in crisis situations. Prayer is offered for protection and healing presence.
Our chaplain will also assist in contacting your clergy or locating representatives of our own religious tradition.
Our Chaplains On Call:
Our chaplains respond on a 24-hour basis. They offer human support and compassion with no religious boundaries. They will contact an appropriate priest, pastor or rabbi for you. They will visit you on the nursing floor, in a waiting area, or in the Emergency Room.
Nason Hospital Provides a Spiritual Care Room for quiet reflection for you and your family. Please follow directional signs or ask any staff member.
Chaplaincy can be reached by telling anyone on our patient care team.
Clergy who are interested in learning more about this program may contact the Community Volunteer Office at (814) 224-6264.
